My dog "Licia" got a very aggressive type of blood cancer after using the tick and flea treatment Bravecto
Rash and purulent wounds
Four months ago, before leaving for the South of France, I bought two Bravecto tablets on the advice of my vet.
After the second Bravecto tablet my dog “Licia” got rash and purulent wounds on her stomach and groin. Her lymph nodes, chest and throat were also heavily swollen. Then her skin developed large black spots.
Research dermatologist
Because I suspected it was an allergic reaction from the outside, I decided to go to an animal dermatologist in Rijswijk. A smear was taken there and sent to a laboratory to check for a bacterial or virus infection. This appeared to not be the case. I also asked the dermatologist if that could be because of Bravecto, but she didn't think so.
Blood test: aggressive blood cancer
This week her forelimbs also swelled enormously while her abdomen seemed emaciated. A blood test showed that she had a very aggressive form of blood cancer. She stopped eating and was unable to walk and get up. Yesterday I had to put her to sleep.
8 years old. Very exceptional at this age such an aggressive form of blood cancer. My dog always got organic food.
I cannot prove it, but everything indicates that Bravecto is guilty of this.
