In 2018, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned about "Isoxazoline products" (such as Bravecto, Nexgard and Simparica). These drugs have been associated with neurological side effects including muscle tremors, ataxia and seizures in some dogs and cats.”
Xayime was 3 years old, and had seizures after treatment with Bravecto
Dog owner Irma Voortman:
Our Xayime suffered from epileptic seizures after taking the "tasty chewable tablet" Bravecto. The first time nine attacks within 1 hour.
The vet said they were going to admit her to the practice. He said "Everything will be fine."
She was there for 2 days, and how did she get home?
It was a completely different dog! Still seizures, and a completely different behavior.
She slowly deteriorated and had to give up more and more. In the end it didn't work anymore and we had to put her to sleep.
She was only 3 years old. We are very saddened.....
Terrible stuff, real poison!!! It's crazy that the vets are still prescribing it !
And if you say something about it, the answer you get is that it has not been proven that Bravecto was the cause.......
Please stop giving this poison to healthy animals!!!!
