Dog and cat owners report serious skin problems after using various brands of tick and flea products. These problems are often incorrectly dismissed by veterinarians as "food allergies", with the result that the real cause is not addressed.
Side effects of Bravecto in our young wire-haired dachshund “Dorus”
Our standard wire-haired dachshund "Dorus" was given a Bravecto pill (remedy against ticks and fleas) in June 2023, when he was 3 months old. In August of 2023, he started getting flakes of skin, open spots, a red belly and quite itching.
Then Bravecto was administered 2 more times.
In the period until January 2024 there were many vet visits, tests and it was thought that it was a food allergy.
Six weeks of special food didn't help, and it all got worse.
After our own study, we could only conclude that it must be an allergy to Bravecto. Especially since our daughter's dog also developed skin complaints after the first Bravecto pill. When she did not give Bravecto any further, the complaints went away.
Now in March 2024 he is 11 months old, and the Bravecto has almost worn off and our dog has his own food, the spots are almost gone.
Never, never, and never again will we use Bravecto.
It's poison. (see the photos below this article)
